How To Paint a Wood Chest

This is a simple tutorial on how to upcycle and paint a boring thrift store find into a classy piece of updated furniture! Let's see how I did this!

I am a avid thrifter. I am always heading to the local Goodwill to find treasures and when I saw this one for $15! I was eager to snatch it up! This piece was in pretty good condition! Glass top, all hardware was there and not broken. This will be a easy flip.

When I got it home and gave it a good look, I decided that the original brass hardware could stay the same. It was shiny and intact so I based the whole look off the hardware. What does great with gold and brass? Navy! The base for this project will be In The Navy by Dixie Belle and Dusty Blue fronts.

Here is the before photo without the glass. Looks like a solid great piece!

Let's watch how I made this over!

Here is the after! Classy and beautiful! This simple $15 chest was a easy flip and sold quickly!
